The answers you’re looking for aren’t going to come from anywhere but within yourself. My job is to get in there with you, look around, and help you find the part that’s begging to be seen.

For Women

You’ve tried everything.

You’ve gone to the gym, cleaned up your eating, kept up with friends and made time for the things you love. You excel at work and push yourself hard. By every outside measure, you’re doing it right.

And yet you’re here, on a therapist’s website, hoping you’ll find someone who can help you figure out what’s leaving that emptiness in your chest. Hoping someone can help you uncover why connecting — to yourself, to others — still feels just out of reach.

I hear you. I’ve been there.

The answers you’re looking for aren’t going to come from anywhere but within yourself. You’re not looking for an expert to diagnose you. You’re looking for someone who can get in there with you, look around, and help you find the part of you that’s begging to be seen.

I’m that person. I’ve sat across from women from all walks of life, in every stage of life. You’re not alone, the answers do exist, and we can find them together.

For Men

Society today has a lot to say about what you should be doing.

There’s a lot of noise about how you should show up — for romance, for work, for parenting, for your friends. That noise alone is overwhelming.

And then there’s the noise that’s more personal. What your partner said last night. The remark from your boss. The not-so-funny joke your buddy made. You absorb all of it and you’re not always sure where to take it.

You’re not alone in that.

Being a good man isn’t defined by what society says it is.

Over the last decade I’ve helped men navigate that noise and find their own inner voice and compass. It’s about becoming the most authentic, most self-compassionate, most honest version of yourself. That’s the work. And you don’t have to do it alone.

Narcissistic Abuse & Recovery

Not everyone’s ex is a narcissist.

Pop culture has a way of taking psychology terms and using them in ways that are meant to be helpful and destigmatizing. Oftentimes the effect is the opposite — creating a lot of muddiness around something that leaves people who have actually experienced it feeling like their pain is cheapened.

Narcissistic abuse carries a different weight. It seeps into the hearts and souls of its survivors in a way that has a tendency to make you wonder if maybe you were the narcissist.

You weren’t.

This happens to some of the most high-functioning and self-aware people I have ever worked with. I can help you find your way back to knowing that.

What to Expect

What it’s actually like to work with me.

Sessions

All sessions are conducted through Jane App. You’ll receive a secure link one hour before your session. Card on file required to book. You won’t be charged until the time of your appointment.

Getting Started

When we first start working together we’ll meet weekly to build a foundation and rhythm. Expect me to get really nosy really fast. It’s all important information in the grand scheme of you, I promise.

My Approach

I’m direct. I’ll reflect things back that might be uncomfortable to hear. I’m not mean about it, but I’m not going to pretend I didn’t notice the thing I noticed. Most clients tell me this is the part that’s most different from therapy they’ve had before.

My Style

Warm, specific, occasionally funny. I don’t perform clinical neutrality. I’m a high-challenge guide. I’m not going to tell you what you want to hear. I’m going to tell you what I actually see, in plain language.

FAQ

Questions people are usually too nervous to ask.

How long does therapy take?

It depends on what you’re working on. Some people come for a few months with a specific goal and that’s exactly right for them. Some work with me for years. I’ll give you my honest read and we’ll revisit as we go.

What happens in the optional consultation?

A 15-minute call to get a sense of whether we’re a good fit before you commit to a first session. No pressure, no paperwork. Just a conversation.

Do you work with couples where one person isn’t sure they want to stay?

Yes. In fact some of the most useful couples work happens in that exact situation. Clarity is the goal, not a predetermined outcome.

I’ve had bad experiences in therapy before. Why would this be different?

I can’t promise it will be. What I can tell you is that I’m going to be honest about what I’m seeing, ask what’s working and what isn’t, and adjust. If something isn’t useful, say so.

What if I’m not in Missouri?

I’m currently licensed in Missouri. If you’re outside the state I’m not able to work with you clinically, but consulting and coaching may be relevant depending on what you’re looking for.

Ready to get started?

You don’t have to have it all figured out before you reach out. That’s what the first session is for.
