It started with a National Junior Honor Society induction ceremony in middle school. Then government debate in high school. Then a graduation speech that a journalist decided was more newsworthy than the senator who spoke the same evening.
I’m not telling you that to brag. I’m telling you because standing in front of an audience and making them feel something has never been something I had to work up to. It’s just what happens when I open my mouth.
